Teen Round-Up has been a place for children from low income homes to experience a delightful camp like vacation for the past 15 years in Duncan, OK. An estimate of 10,000 children have had an opportunity to attend summer camp free of charge since 1998. Kim and Roxanne Kerley moved from Bakersfield, CA in 1995 to work along side Kim's parents, the trail blazers of Teen Round-Up Duncan. Since then Kim and Roxanne, President and Vice President of Teen Round-Up have established the free summer camp for kids, food for the community and other community events including (Christmas Surprize' for the past 3 years).
Our prayer for the children of Oklahoma is that someone will step up to the plate for the children and host a free summer camp program for children who can't afford the high costs of summer camp.
Now personally from me, Roxanne, to you the community of Duncan. I love you dearly and my heart breaks and tears stream down my face at times when I think of leaving the beautiful children of Oklahoma. You may not understand the calling of God, however the move to Arizona is up to our Lord. My husband and I feel the time has come to move into another area and start the same outreach, reaching as many children as possible, giving them the Word of God ( Bible ) and giving them a chance to come to a free summer camp vacation. We have already established relationships with some of the people of Yavapai County in AZ. We will work fervently to set up the mission of the free summer camp for children who live in AZ.
There will be no summer camp sessions this year as we prepare for a camp transition. Teen Round-Up will continue the feeding programs and Broadway Baby Blessings Outreach, already set in place for the Duncan Community
