The man who set the train on the track. The man who blazed a trail to the camp. Teen Round-up was established by the late, Bud Kerley and his wife Joy. In 1965 they decided to give up their 40 acre peice of property to better serve teens and kids. They established the camp to host Teen meetings and community projects for children.
Bud would host retreats for teens all alone at times. He was the cook, janitor, clean up crew, hayride driver and bon fire starter. Bud kept this up for many years providing a place for retreats for youth groups. Bud Kerley blazed the trail for Kim, his son and wife Roxanne to take over the camp. Now since 1999 their son, Kim and Roxanne are hosting free summer camps for kids from low income homes.
Bud has touched thousands of lives with kindness. His tender heart and love for others has been a bright light to Camp Teen Round-Up. He has inspired many people that it can be done with the help of God. His life lives on in the harvest that is still taking place at Teen Round-Up.
